TELFORD, SHROPSHIRE -- Rising UK oval track racing star Finn Robinson got a well-earned piece of good news earlier this week when it was announced that he would be starting from the first position in the upcoming UK Modified British Championship event at Aldershot Raceway in Aldershot, Hampshire on Sunday, September 17.  
 
 Robinson, 19, is in his rookie season of competition with the UK Modified division, where he’s won five times and has had   five finishes en-route to his current status as the leader of the British Championship standings for his division. 
 
 The UK Modified British Championship event is but one of three milestones Robinson could achieve this season. There are also separate season-long championship chases for all of the tarmac events on his schedule as well as the overall national points championship, which Robinson is leading as of this writing. 
 
“It shows our team’s hard work and dedication has paid off this far. Our goal was to win one race.  I could never have imagined we’d be this successful in our first year because this division is full of veteran racers.   I think it shows how serious we are about our racing and my team’s efforts to push me to be my best.  Now it’s up to me to go out and justify their belief in me and do my part by winning the championship.”
